Fire-rated steel doors and frames are designed to delay the transfer of heat from one side of the door to the other. Full flush doors feature interlocked hairline seams on the vertical edges and have no visible seams on the door faces. Doors specified as seamless have no visible seams on either the faces or vertical edges.
The face sheets are fully supported by a special fire-resistant core, which fills the entire door to delay heat transfer and reduce the risk of burn injuries during fire evacuation.
The top and bottom edges of the door are enclosed with a 1.5 mm thick inverted steel channel, welded securely in place for added durability and fire resistance.
