Water & Air Tight Steel Door And Frame

Water- and air-tight steel doors and frames are designed as a complete unit—including the door, frame, and specialized gasketing—to effectively control water and air infiltration. These full-flush doors feature interlocked hairline seams along the vertical edges and have no visible seams on the faces. Doors specified as seamless have no visible seams on either the faces or the vertical edges.

The face sheets are fully supported by a special internal core. Water- and air-tight doors and frames are supplied with high-performance seals specifically designed to prevent water and air infiltration. Gasketing is an integral part of the assembly, as illustrated in the corresponding drawings. The top and bottom edges of the doors are enclosed with a 1.5 mm inverted steel channel, welded securely in place for structural integrity.
